Ravensblood: The Dark

At night horrific shadows appear in the dark bedroom of Adrina Jiminez. One wears a hat and trench coat and the only thing that makes them vanish is light. She pushes through the ordeal thinking she might have a mental illness. 

In fear of the Hat Man from appearing at the foot of her bed at night, she sleeps with the light on. This takes a toll on her husband Milo who is gruesomely murdered in their bedroom while Adrina is away.  She becomes suspect number one.

The Hat Man and the shadows want Adrina next. She learns she might be able  stop them with an enchanted ring. However, she must retrieve it from a witch who lives in the woods. 

Not only must Adrina save herself, but also her best friend, Bridget when a blackout hits Ravensblood.
